Partitioning Systems
Partitioning systems can be divided into five main types, each available from a number of manufacturers and each with its own merits. Issues to consider include sound and fire ratings, demountability and relocatability, aesthetics and of course, budget. 50mm Systems
These type of systems use aluminium frames with panels that can be solid, made from composite plasterboard, or can be single and double glazed. Less expensive than other systems, 50mm ranges are fast to install and are highly relocatible, but have only nominal sound and fire ratings. These systems are ideal for a wide range of uses with a reasonable selection of styles and finishes.
75mm System
The slightly thicker panels associated with 75mm system give greater fire and sound ratings for applications where noise pollution, privacy and fire protection are important. There is a vast range of 75mm systems from a large number of manufacturers, so a system to match your requirements can always be found. Frames can be aluminium or wood and panels can be solid, or single or double glazed. These systems require more involved installation but are still highly relocatible.
Steal Partitioning
Suitable for more industrial applications including factories, laboratories and clean rooms, steel partitioning systems are hard wearing and functional & but can also be surprisingly stylish. Steel systems are very relocatible and have excellent fire and sound ratings.Bespoke Joinery
When something a little special is called for, or where standard systems just won't fit thye bill, Meridian can design and produce bespoke systems. Bespoke systems can be used to match or compliment existing skirtings and architraves. They are not very demountable or relocatible but do give complete aesthetic freedom as well as excellent sound and fire ratings.
