This exciting commission involved the conversion of Airdri’s first-floor warehouse space into a fully functioning open-plan office: encompassing the space planning and design by Meridian Interiors, and the full refurbishment and fit-out by sister company Meridian Office Furniture Ltd.

On demolition of Airdri’s blockwork offices in the old warehouse, Meridian Interior’s project team worked to implement the space designs for the proposed open-plan office, kitchen/WC areas and server room.
The electrics – both lighting and power – were reconfigured, and acoustic performance fully optimised, using acoustic insulation above the ceiling tiles and white 75mm fire/sound partitioning for the new cellular offices. Integral white blinds and oak doors completed the £140K refurbishment.
Subsequent revisions to the space plan were made, to: maximise the environment for several departments, create single offices for heads of department and allow for future expansion. Meridian Office Furniture Ltd then completed the £27K office furniture fit-out in just three days.
