Useful Information

When embarking on a commercial refurbishment or an office fit-out project, as the client you have responsibilities to ensure the project is carried out safely.

The Health and Safety Executive website has a useful resource as your role as the client, providing important information about the Construction (Design Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM) and identifies that whatever your role in construction, CDM aims to improve health and safety standards in the industry.

Please call us to talk about this in more detail, if you have any questions 0333 3448 772

If you will be appointing your own contractors directly to complete some elements of the project, Meridian Interiors will need to meet with each of these contractors and receive copies of their project related H&S information prior to them commencing on site.  The assessment of these contractors’ competence to carry-out their designated works should be completed by yourselves or the Principal Designer prior to their appointment.

Notifiable Projects

Did you know?

Clients must make suitable arrangements for managing their project, enabling those carrying it out to manage health and safety risks in a proportionate way.

Notifiable Projects are ones where the construction work is expected to last longer than 30 days and have more than 20 workers working at the same time at any point or the project exceeds 500 person days.

Visit the HSE website to learn more about Notifiable construction projects.

Meridian Interiors will work closely with you and assist you to complete and submit the F10 form to the HSE.
