The Brief
To transform the existing reception at Parks Trust, Milton Keynes, Meridian Interiors spent time designing and implementing a commercial office fit-out, which included transforming an atrium and cafÃĐ into a new vibrant, fresh and welcoming space. The initial concept was designed by the client to create an area that would encourage business collaboration of its users, while also providing a calm and relaxing environment for those needing a break from their desks. With a brief for a more natural design, wood, stone and glass were used extensively to bring a feel of the outside in.

The Solution
Taking the clients conceptual sketches and the clientâs visions towards something that is tangible is where Meridian excel! Using our existing knowledge and experience of office design, we transformed initial sketches into a brand new space, bringing the client’s vision to life. This Milton Keynes office fit-out saw us collaborate with furniture industries while overseeing complete construction until the space was ready to hand over to The Parks Trust for employees to enjoy.

âAs The Parks Trust is a self-financing charity, who manages and maintains acres of greenspace across Milton Keynes, one of our concerns was the sustainability of the project. Meridian were happy to provide a chain of custody of the timber required, as this was a major part of the design.
Meridian installed wood cladding to a number of walls in the space, arranged for the design and installation of a new reception desk, installed a large metal and wood structure in the main area, redecorated the cafe, and dealt with all electrical work required, plus the sourcing and installation of all the light fittings.
The finish to all work is of high standard and we are very pleased with the furniture installed. We are so pleased with the work carried out we have requested Meridian to carry out the refurbishment of three further units in the property.â
