Office Fit-out in Cambridge – CIC

To carry out a commercial office fit out for the new headquarters of CIC, at the prestigious location of Station Road in Cambridge. To deliver this office interior fit out, the design was key to produce a modern, fresh, and vibrant working environment, for employees to carry out day-to-day activities and relax during break times. The brief included the provision of meeting spaces, directors’ offices, an open plan office area, a breakout area and an area that could be sub-let.

The Solution

Working with the Eve Waldron Design team to create a contemporary workplace, Meridian Interiors created this stunning working environment that incorporated many trends and themes considered in modern offices today.

Using a mix of meeting spaces, cellular offices, spacious open plan working zones and a break-out area, ensured a well-designed workspace was created, to provide Cambridgeshire based CIC with everything they need for today and the future.

A variety of floor coverings were installed to illustrate different zones within the workplace, without the need for partition walls. This aids air and light flow throughout the office, utilising natural light from the windows to best affect. Feature lighting was then installed to accentuate these zones further.

A sleek kitchen with stainless steel fittings, two-tone units, solid surface worktops, boiling/chilled hydro water tap, and pendant lighting suspended over the island unit, provide a tasteful, modern break-out area, which truly compliments this modern office environment.

Bespoke joinery, which is fast becoming one of Meridian’s most requested features for offices, played a huge part in this project. The use of natural materials such as Oak timber slatting within the working environment not only adds texture and acoustic absorption, but also supports the ethos to bring the-outside-in.

Applying Meridian’s extensive knowledge gained over 20 years within the office interior fit-out industry, this complete workspace was transformed within the programme timescales, using our tried and tested project management methodology.
