Project Phases
Initial Strip Out
The refurbishment began with a full strip-out of the existing facility, including internal partitions, power, lighting, flooring, and washroom facilities. This process cleared the way for the new design.
Warehouse and Mezzanine Area
The existing mezzanine was enclosed with 1-hour fire-rated facia boards, and a suspended ceiling was installed to meet fire safety regulations. New 3-compartment containment systems for data, power, and fire alarms were implemented, and the area under the mezzanine was fitted with new partitioning to provide an enclosed storage area. A link corridor was built to connect the reception area to the amenity areas.
Washrooms
Within the male and female washrooms, existing vanity units and cubicles were removed and replaced with new Walnut effect laminate vanity units, duct panels sets and cubicles, to provide a professional and stylish finish.
All washrooms received new suspended ceilings with recessed lighting. The walls were covered in part with a marble effect laminate wall cladding system with the floors finished in vinyl sheet safety flooring, to combine ease of maintenance with a modern look.
Office Areas
The open-plan office was fitted with a new fresh air ventilation system and new Air conditioning units were installed for heating and cooling in both the open-plan office and the MD’s office suite.
The open-plan office and MD’s suite were designed with complementary colours including acoustic hanging panels, full wall covered graphic wraps, and new office furniture. Crittall-effect glazed partitions with full height Oak veneered doors were fitted to the MDs office with reeded film to add privacy.
New external windows were fitted into the building façade with us creating angled window reveals internally to allow more natural light to cascade into the workspace.
A small meeting room was designed with bright walls and a feature light, creating a welcoming and collaborative private workspace.
Tea Point
The existing tea point area was replaced with stylish Navy-Blue cabinets, walnut worktops and splashbacks. The area was completed with the installation of a sleek vertical anthracite grey radiator.
Reception Area
The reception area underwent a complete transformation, with the staircase and the full-height walls painted in a rich Navy Blue. New carpets in vivid Navy were installed throughout the area and extended into the walkways and the breakout zones beyond.
The reception area was further enhanced with a new Oak double door set providing a striking first impression for visitors.
