Meridian In Focus: Our Team
Clerkenwell 2024
In terms of an interiors industry event, Clerkenwell Design week in London, is the one to attend, so we did just that. To be honest, itâs an annual event for us, as we value the importance of learning about new technologies, developing our awareness of new trends and meeting suppliers. Clerkenwell design week offers a showcase of exhibitions, showrooms and special installations, from our industry suppliers and manufacturers.
Highlighted this year were natural colours with muted tones. These colourways enhance a more relaxing workspace, which follows on from the rising trend for the importance of wellness within the working environment.
Sustainability through fabric and materials was also high on the agenda. Itâs great to see our manufacturers developing more sustainable products, that have cutting edge design, that in turn we can put forward in our office designs.
During our visit we took many photos and have highlighted some of our favourite office interior installations below.
Project Debut Update
We recently told you that our Estimating Manager excelled at his Project Management debut. With the client now using and enjoying the customer experience space, our photographer has been around the facility in Houghton Regis to document the space for our most recent case study. Below are a few of images to whet your appetite! You can click here to view the full case study.
The Power of 3D Visualisation in Office Refurbishment
The office refurbishment industry has seen significant advancements with the integration of technology, and one of the most transformative innovations is 3D visualisation. This technology is revolutionising how office spaces are designed, planned, and executed.
What is 3D visualisation?
3D visualisation involves creating three-dimensional models of spaces or objects using specialised software. These models can be rotated, viewed from different angles, and rendered to look photorealistic. In the context of office refurbishment, 3D visualisation allows clients to see a detailed and accurate representation of the proposed changes to an office space before any physical work begins.
With our in-house Project Designer, Ali, at the sharp end of everything drawing related at Meridian Interiors, we are fortunate to have the ability to bring 2D designs to life for our clients with 3D visualisation, utilising this revolutionary specialist software.
Benefits of 3D Visualization in Office Refurbishment
- Enhanced Design Accuracy and Creativity
- Improved Client Communication and Approval
- Cost and Time Efficiency
- Customisation and Personalisation
Using 3D visualisation acts as a useful way for clients to be able get a real feel for the space, the materials that will be used and how they look and work together. They provide an accurate representation of dimensions, spatial relationships, and design elements. This precision helps in identifying potential issues early in the design process. It can be used to experiment with different layouts, colour schemes, and materials without any physical constraints, giving a more informed understanding of how the space could look; or compare ideas for the workspace.
If you donât have a design background it might be more difficult for you to envisage how a space is going to look from a flat line drawing. Having a 3D visual which illustrates how your office space will look and work, how departments will be linked, how the light and footfall will move through the space, is a very useful tool for all stakeholders involved in the design process. When clients can see exactly how the refurbished office will look and feel, it makes for better-informed decisions by visualising the end result.
